About
MY BACKGROUND
I was born in Chanute, KS, in March of 2001, to Lindsy Croley and Toma Morris. I have two younger siblings; Gavin and Allison Morris. They are both sophomores while I am a senior at Iola High School. I grew up in Iola, KS and I've been to all but one of the elementary schools and have also attended the middle school and high school here. After I graduate high school in 2019, I plan on going to Allen Community College to earn my Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education and then attend Emporia State University to further my education with Early Childhood Education. I plan on owning my own preschool, and one day teaching out of home. Growing up with two younger siblings close in age to me and with me being the oldest, I always got to be the "teacher" or boss in any game we played and so I've always taken the leadership position. I currently intern at a preschool and you don't realize it, but you make a difference everyday in a child's life, and that is the reason I am so passionate about becoming a teacher.

Future Plans
As I start to get closer to the end of my high school career, I think about what I want to do in my life. In the middle of my junior year, I had leaned towards teaching High School Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) but as a high schooler myself, I know and understand that we are very disrespectful towards our teachers, and so I leaned away from that. I am an employee of the after school program, Safe Base, and so I was always around the littler kids. I have a strong passion for being able to help shape someone's little mind, and so at the end of my junior year I decided that I wanted to be a preschool teacher. I currently intern at a preschool and I love it. It's called Munchkinland and is ran by Megan McKarnin. Megan initially teaches from her mother's home, and the story of how she got into teaching is quite touching. After I graduate high school in 2019, I plan on attending Allen County College and acquiring my Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education. When I graduate in 2021, I'll attend Emporia State University to further my knowledge in Early Childhood Development. After I graduate from Emporia, I would love to own my own preschool. It is my dream, and I won't stop working until I've reached it!
